Monument Bond Fund Update - February 2023

Watch 1 h

With inflation and rate hikes dominating markets in 2022, European ABS proved to be a valuable allocation for fixed income investors wishing to avoid unwanted yield curve related volatility. In our view European ABS looks to be even stronger in 2023 with rates and spreads combining to create an attractive income landscape, but in a post QE world, the defensive characteristics of the asset class could also have an important role to play in portfolios.

In this session, partner and portfolio managers, Doug Charleston and Aza Teeuwen give a brief recap of 2022 before looking at the technical and fundamental drivers in European ABS. You’ll hear their outlook for the year ahead before looking at performance and positioning of the Monument Bond Fund.
